(More customer reviews)I bought this feeder mainly because it is inexpensive and you get half a dozen of them. I was surprised to find them looking quite attractive. My birds took to them very quickly. I only buy saucer type feeders which are easy to clean. When looking at this feeder you might want to compare it to the more expensive Hummzinger feeders.
What I can say is that the 3 feeding ports on this feeder look similar to the HZ Ultra feeder, being elongated. The wrap around perch is rather high and resembles that of the new HZ High View feeders. The port to perch distance is just write for my birds to rest comfortable while feeding. The feeder features a handy opening for easy refilling which I have not seen on similar feeders before. Each feeder comes with a coated wire hanger for hanging. It can also be post mounted. This feeder is very easy to clean and assemble just as easily. The feeder does not drip when filled with nectar.
One negative is that the feeder does tend to tilt a bit when hung by the coated hanger. Even so it seals tight enough not to drip nectar. The birds does not seem to be bothered if the feeder is not 100% straight. One more thing - the feeder does not have a built in ant moat. This does not bother me as I always rub a bit of general purpose grease around the branch on which the feeder hangs. This effectively takes care of any crawling insects.
Overall this feeder is designed with the birds in mind and at such an affordable price is good value for money. I applause Heath on this effort and would definitely recommend this feeder to my friends and family.
