(More customer reviews)I had previously given this feeder a very poor review although Amazon didn't post it. I also reviewed it poorly at another site and got a direct response from Perky Pet. First they explained the little trick about putting vegetable oil on the O ring. That detail can be found on a couple website's, they should actually put it on the feeder instructions. After oiling the ring the feeder ceased to dump all the nectar every time I put the lid on. I did notice some leaking out the perch holes on a windy day, I don't think that can be helped.
More gratifying is the fact that Perky Pet is sending me a brand new feeder after I shared with them the fact that a raccoon tore it down the first night I left it out and lost some of the parts. I look forward to my new one but will bring it in at night and when it's really windy.
