(More customer reviews)I was a bit surprized by the packaging & quality of the product for the price I paid. I though it would be a more quality & artsy or decorative feeder for a nice gift. It did not look unique and it looked more like what I could put together in my own garage from a wine bottle and some simple wood disks.
It did ship fast. I am reluctantly keeping it for lack of any more time to switch gifts.
I would not recomend this for the price it is listed for.

(More customer reviews)This is my second feedback on this purchase. The order of Birdola birdseed cakes was received in a timely fashion. As I opened the box, I was sad to see that four of the 12 cakes was crushed and in pieces. The pieces had been rewrapped in cellophane to keep them together. Someone in the shipping process must have seen the broken bits and wrapped them in the plastic wrap. They are unusable in that shape. For a full 30% of the order to be unusable is quite extreme. I'm not happy.

The weave on this product is attached to a steel caging which results in a very strong and solid nest house. Has a great natural look too. Considering that 99% of bird houses are grossly over priced ($25 or more), this one is somewhat reasonable.

I had a recycled plastic/wood feeder--but the squirrels began chewing it apart. The only other feeders with the tail prop were wooden. This item works perfectly: easy to refill, etc. I use a clip to lock the lid so the squirrels cannot get in.

You can see in the photos that the bases have screw holes in them (irrelevant to the product) and are too long, extending beyond the base of the fastener. They seem like random hangers from the hardware store. This unit was included in the Ultimate Deck System we purchased and we actually left it off because it looks shoddy.

I have yet to hang these up as I need a couple hangers (hooks) to fasten them to the brick walls of our house. The future inhabitants of these bird houses will think they are living at the Waldorf-Astoria. The hinged door opening on the side of these makes them very nice for future clean out. I purchased this at Amazon as I constantly find the majority of items I buy from Amazon. The quality and service I receive as well as pricing is outstanding at Amazon. I have more future tennants "flocking to our yard" in quest of low cost "housing"!
