(More customer reviews)This hummingbird feeder is a prety design, with a yellow hue to the glass, and a colorful metal hummingbird attached to the wire that supports it. The glass container is flat sided, but does hold 8 oz of nectar - however, it cannot be removed for cleaning - you have to work with the wire support still attached. Also, the feeder does hang straight down - as shown - making it empty completely in the slightest wind, or if a larger bird lands on it (and the bigger birds ARE determined to try!) So, tho pretty, this feeder is not very functional, and I do NOT recommend it.

(More customer reviews)This is such a great idea ... but it doesn't fit water bottles or small Coke/7-up bottles. The folks at the bird feeder store thought it might fit some obscure brand of presweetened iced tea. I returned it. I wish I could get one made to fit bottles that I actually use.

(More customer reviews)I was having problems with squirrels eating out of my bird feeder and chasing away the birds. I bought a bottle of this and brother did it work!! The squirrel will go half way up the pole then turn and run. WARNING! Do not touch, wear gloves when mixing or you will be soaking your hands in beer and milk. Yes, that's what I found on the internet and it really helps the intense burning sensation on your skin. Make a mental note not to rub your eyes or you will regret it. I still recommend this product along with common sense!

Squirrel Proof Sentinel Bird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased a larger version of this at Walmart last year and have tired it in several locations at my office and home. I think it's because of the shape of the feeding holes, but whatever the reason, the birds never eat from it. Other feeders at the same location can be emptied in just a couple of weeks, but this one just remains untouched. Too bad, other than the birds won't eat from it, it's a really nice design and is well made.

Best 1- 8 oz Hummingbird Feeder Review

If you live in an area that gets alot of wind as I do here
in Arizona, this is the one to use. Because the base is flat and
not sloped like other feeders, when the feeder swings from
side to side no nectar leeks out. I have replaced all
of my previous feeders with this one. It also comes
in two sizes the 8oz and a quart size. Both bottles
fit the same base. I wouldn't use anything else.

Opus 5104 TopFlight Select-A-Seed Bird Feeder Review

I've had my feeder for two years now, and no matter whether you set it up for sunflower seeds or finch seeds, the birds just give up on it after awhile. They simply can't get the seed out and we've never been able to figure out why. They will empty out feeder after feeder of any other brand, but even when I take all the others down to fill them and this one is the only one hanging, they won't feed out of it. It will hang, nearlly full for an entire season. Don't know what the problem is, but the birds just can't get anything out of it and after awhile, they give up.

(More customer reviews)I loved the idea of these lively decorated bags - what could be easier to feed our hummingbirds? Regretfully, they did not seem to appeal to the birds at all. They would fly around it, some settled on the little perch, but no birds drank from them at all. I bought 6 of them, and after trying 2 in our usual hummingbird feeder locations I ended up emptying out the nectar from the remaining bags into the plain old feeders from the discount store, and our hummingbird friends were happy once again. I wish they worked, the idea is simple and the design charming. Maybe if the "flower" had a yellow center like the typical feeders do it might have made a difference.

(More customer reviews)Very happy with this feeder. Hangs easily to the in-ground pole that I already had. Have had this for a year and it has held up well through Ohio's four seasons. Despite regular cleanings, the wood does get a little moldy, but with our weather changes, you just can't help that. But the pieces have stayed together tightly and the birds and squirrels use it all the time. Very happy!

(More customer reviews)I ordered this lovely hummingbird feeder and received it quickly and intact. It was easy to put together and looks great hanging up. My only problem? The hummingbirds have not started using it (and it's been hanging about a month). I change the nectar as I'm supposed to, but no luck yet. I saw one come up to it, but he couldn't figure out how to get into the food from the "blossom". I had to place it at a different place in the yard and rehang "old faithful". So, I am thankful it is so pretty so I can at least enjoy it whether or not the birds get the hang of it!

(More customer reviews)An excellent product for wild bird rehab and release. I've used it on all types of baby birds with great success. The only problem I've had is with pigeons and doves - if I feed the exact "straight up" it seems to cause crop impaction; so now I mix with a squab formula, ground flax seeds, and cream of wheat (the cereal); works like a charm. As they get older I'll add millet to the mix. The birds all love it. Great product that has been instrumental in saving the lives of many many babies.

(More customer reviews)This morning I saw a red-tailed hawk swoop up and grab one of the little pine siskins in this cage feeder, right through the bars. I had thought the birds were safe in this feeder, but it turned out to be not quite true. The hawk had trouble pulling his foot back out of the cage with the pine siskin trapped in his claws, but he finally managed it.
Even though Duncraft makes some great bird feeders, there are three reasons why I would not buy this model again:
--red squirrels can squeeze through the bars and get at the seed
--the cage bottom is very difficult to clean. The discarded husks, seeds, and bird droppings create a formidable cement, even after just one day (as I said, the small birds really like this feeder)
--hawks can reach through the bars and extract the smaller birds

Sunset Vista Designs Enchanted Garden Collection Bee Hummingbird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this based on the photo, but was not that impressed with the actual item. On the plus size, this is a LARGE heavy glass feeder. On the negative side, the feeding tube at the base tends to leak, the flower and bee don't look as good as they do in the photo, and the bottle is wrapped with a thick wire. I understand the need to have some sort of support for a heavy glass feeder, but the wire appeared to be hastily wound and gave the feeder a cheap appearance. In addition to that, the bottle had been wrapped in a thin layer of plastic for protection during shipping, and the wire had been affixed on top of that, and wound so tightly that it was impossible (even with tweezers) to remove all the bits of plastic that had become trapped between the wire and the glass. Loosening the wire to remove the packing material made the feeder more flimsy. Save your money and pay a little extra to buy a handcrafted hummingbird feeder at a craft show or bazaar, otherwise stick with a basic feeder. This one has the appearance of something that's been mass produced in China, which - surprise! - it was.
